The weekend began in ideal fashion as Tye demonstrated exceptional one-lap pace, delivering a stunning double pole position in qualifying. The result underlined the pace of both driver and team, placing him in the perfect position to challenge for victories throughout the event.

Race 1 saw Tye convert his front-row start into a hard-fought second-place finish. Despite intense pressure throughout the race, he remained firmly in contention at the front and collected valuable championship points with an impressive podium result.

The highlight of the weekend came in Race 2. Starting from pole position, Tye produced a defensive masterclass to secure a superb victory. Under relentless pressure from behind for much of the race, he remained calm and composed, placing his car perfectly lap after lap and refusing to give his rivals any opportunity to attack. His mature racecraft and flawless execution allowed him to control the race from the front and convert pole position into a deserved win.

Race 3 completed an exceptional weekend as Tye once again battled at the sharp end of the field. A determined drive resulted in a third-place finish, securing his third podium from three races and capping off one of his strongest performances of the season so far.

With double pole positions, a race win, a second-place finish, and a third-place finish, Tye leaves MotorLand Aragón having showcased outstanding speed, consistency, and racecraft. The triple-podium weekend marks a significant statement in the championship battle and reinforces his status as one of the leading contenders in the Spanish F4 field.

The results see Tye climb to fourth in the championship standings, firmly in contention in what is proving to be an incredibly close and competitive title fight. With momentum firmly on his side following a near-perfect weekend at Aragón, he heads into the next round well placed to continue his charge towards the front of the championship.

From the moment we hit the track, the pace was there. The team worked incredibly hard throughout the weekend, and we were consistently fighting at the sharp end of the field.

Race 1 was a fantastic start to the weekend. A strong performance saw us secure a P2, claiming a well-earned podium finish and valuable championship points. The pace was competitive throughout the race, and it was great to reward the team’s efforts with silverware.

In Race 2, we continued to show strong speed and racecraft, crossing the line in P5 after another hard-fought battle. While just missing out on the podium positions, it was another solid points-scoring result that demonstrated our consistency and competitiveness.

Unfortunately, Race 3 brought a frustrating end to the weekend. Running in P2 and looking set for another podium finish, our race was cut short following contact from behind, resulting in a DNF. It was a disappointing way to finish what had otherwise been a very positive weekend. 

Across the weekend, we showed excellent speed, fought at the front, and proved we have what it takes to challenge for podiums and strong results consistently.

The British youngster emerged as one of the championship’s leading contenders across the three-round winter series, held at Portugal’s Algarve International Circuit and Spain’s Circuito de Jerez and MotorLand Aragón. Combining outright pace with consistency, Tye collected two pole positions, two race victories and three podium finishes on his way to second place in the final standings.

The season got off to the perfect start at the Algarve International Circuit in Portugal, where Tye immediately stamped his authority on the championship. Displaying impressive pace from the outset, the Drivex driver claimed two race victories during the opening round and established himself as the driver to beat. His dominant weekend not only delivered maximum momentum but also placed him firmly at the head of the championship standings after the opening races of the winter campaign.

Round two at Circuito de Jerez provided another opportunity for Tye to demonstrate his growing maturity in Formula 4 machinery. In a fiercely competitive field packed with emerging international talent, the British driver remained a regular fixture at the front of the field, adding another podium finish and crucial championship points to keep his title challenge firmly on track.

The championship then moved to MotorLand Aragón for the decisive final round. Tye once again showcased his one-lap speed by securing pole position, while another podium result ensured he remained in contention until the closing stages of the championship. Throughout the weekend, he continued to demonstrate the consistency that had characterised his winter campaign, ultimately securing the Vice-Champion honours.

Across the three rounds, Tye’s combination of speed, racecraft and consistency proved to be among the strongest in the championship. His tally of two victories, three podium finishes and two pole positions highlighted both his qualifying prowess and race-winning capability, while his ability to consistently score points kept him in championship contention from the opening weekend through to the final chequered flag.

The Vice-Championship result represents a significant achievement for both driver and team and provides a strong platform heading into the main Spanish Formula 4 season. Having proven capable of fighting for victories and pole positions against some of Europe’s most talented young racers, Tye leaves the winter championship with confidence and momentum firmly on his side.

A key part of Tye’s development has been the guidance of Guillaume Le Goff, founder of The Grid Agency and one of motorsport’s most respected driver managers. Le Goff is widely recognised for managing Formula 1 Grand Prix winner Pierre Gasly and Red Bull Junior Team driver Isack Hadjar. Under his management, Tye continues to benefit from a professional development programme designed to support his progression through the junior single-seater ranks and towards the highest levels of motorsport.

Reflecting on the championship, Tye praised the efforts of the entire Drivex Racing team.

“The winter championship has been a fantastic way to start the season. Taking two wins in the opening round gave us a lot of confidence, and the team did an incredible job throughout all three events. To finish Vice Champion with two wins, two pole positions and three podiums is something we’re very proud of. We’ve shown that we have the pace to compete at the front and I’m looking forward to building on this momentum during the rest of the year.”

For Drivex Racing, the winter campaign reinforced the team’s reputation as one of Formula 4’s benchmark organisations, while for Tye it marked another important step in his development as one of Britain’s most promising young racing talents. With strong backing from The Grid Agency and valuable experience gained across three iconic circuits, the future looks bright for the Vice-Champion as he prepares for the next chapter of his career.

Tye, a British Karting graduate, has had an impressive junior career and already competed in two seasons racing in Spanish F4.

Seventeen-year-old Tye made significant strides in the karting world. His journey began in 2020 as British Vice Champion, but it was in 2022 that he built on his success by winning the Champions of the Future Euro Series in the OK Junior class. He also claimed a victory in the FIA Karting European Championship and secured third place in the overall standings.

Tye’s transition to senior karting was equally impressive. He finished third in the WSK Open Cup, fourth in the WSK Final Cup, and third in the Rotax Max Challenge Asia Festival. In 2023, he continued to compete at a high level, finishing eighth in the Champions of the Future series and tenth in the European Championship.

The 2024 season saw Tye make his single-seater debut in the Spanish F4 Championship with Campos Racing. Despite his rookie status, he managed to secure multiple top 10 finishes, several rookie podiums and two second places gaining invaluable experience ahead of his sophomore season in the sport. He then moved on to Rodin Motorsport where he continued his impressive form with  7^th place finish overall in the Championship.

With all the experience he has gained Nathan is looking to become a regular podium challenger in his third season:
