About the Wera Alliance Racing Academy
Welcome to the Wera Tools – Alliance Racing Academy. Since its launch in 2021, the Academy has been driven by one core purpose: to support promising young talent and give them the platform, knowledge, and visibility needed to climb the ranks of the motorsport world.
Our bold black and green liveries have become a standout presence across every grid,
representing not only the Academy but the ambition of every member within our programme. With partnerships ranging from the Loughborough Collage Rallycross Team to our role as title sponsors of the British Formula 4 and British Kart Championships, we are able to create unparalleled exposure opportunities for drivers, mechanics, and our wider team.
Each year we continue to grow, and the results speak for themselves. With more than 100 trophies earned in 2025 alone, the Academy continues to gain momentum and recognition within the industry.
Founded by Pete Osborne and Ian Walford after first meeting in 2017, the Academy has been built with dedication, passion, and a commitment to give young drivers the ultimate development programme in a highly competitive sport.

Over the past three years as part of the Wera Tools / Alliance Racing Academy, I’ve developed far more than just my driving. The academy has given me the opportunity to build a complete skill set — from media training and understanding what it truly means to conduct yourself professionally as a racing driver, to gaining hands-on experience with the tools and partners that support us both on and off the circuit.
Being surrounded by such a high level of talent within the academy creates an environment where everyone is constantly pushing each other to improve. That shared drive raises standards across the board and has played a huge role in helping me progress and perform at a higher level.
As I’ve grown within the academy, I’ve also taken pride in stepping into more of a senior role. Being able to support and mentor younger drivers coming through is something I really value, and it’s rewarding to help pass on the knowledge and experience I’ve gained. The academy doesn’t just develop faster drivers — it builds well-rounded racers, and I’m proud to be a part of that journey.
Being part of The Wera Alliance Academy has been the best part of my 2025 season. I’ve made friends for life, and everyone supports each other like a family. I’ve learned a lot from my teammates and I am extremely proud to be part of the academy.”
