Girls On Track
Who are we?
Established in 2021, the Wera – Alliance Racing Academy is a development programme focused on supporting and advancing emerging motorsport talent, while Girls on Track UK is an initiative dedicated to encouraging and enabling more women and girls to get involved in motorsport, both on and off the track.
Bringing these two together, the collaboration between the Wera – Alliance Racing Academy and Girls on Track UK is built on a shared vision: to create more opportunities for women in motorsport and to support them in confidently pursuing a career in an industry that has traditionally been male-dominated. Both organisations are committed to improving access, raising awareness, and encouraging greater female representation across all areas of the sport.
Current Initiatives:
A natural starting point for this partnership lies within the Academy itself, where four female racing drivers are part of the programme. Their journeys and progress serve as a strong example of what is possible and help to inspire other young women to follow their ambitions and consider a future in motorsport.
Through this collaboration, the Academy and Girls on Track UK work together to create spaces where young women can connect, exchange ideas, and learn from one another. This includes opportunities and initiatives that bring together participants, industry professionals, and women who have already established careers in motorsport, providing valuable insights and practical guidance on how to enter and navigate the industry.
One example of this joint effort is the involvement at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026, where members of the Girls on Track community are invited to take part in dedicated sessions hosted by Wera Tools UK. These sessions offer the opportunity to hear directly from the Academy’s female drivers about their personal journeys, as well as to connect with like-minded participants and build meaningful relationships within the motorsport network.
Through Wera Tools’ longstanding involvement in motorsport, including sponsorship of championships and support of 13 Academy drivers, it enables the organisation to offer exclusive race weekend experiences to the Girls on Track community. These include paddock access at events such as the British Touring Car Championship, where participants can gain first-hand insight into the sport, meet teams and industry professionals, and meet Academy drivers, providing both inspirational and valuable real-world exposure.
Beyond these shared activities, Girls on Track UK continues to host regular events and webinars that are accessible to its community. The programme offers an open and supportive environment for anyone interested in motorsport, encouraging individuals to learn, connect, and support one another as they explore potential pathways into the industry.
