Nico Tye – Race Report | Buxton Raceway | 5th July 2026

Jul 8, 2026

What started as a wet and challenging morning at Buxton Raceway soon developed into a dry and fast racing surface!

This meeting marked another significant milestone in Nico Tye’s racing journey as he competed for the first time as a Red Grade driver. Starting from the very back of a talented 20-car grid was always going to be a huge test, but one that Nico embraced with confidence and determination.

With every race, Nico produced impressive drives through the field, showing maturity, racecraft and consistency well beyond his years. Adjusting quickly to the challenge of racing against the sport’s top drivers from the back of the grid, he delivered a series of outstanding performances that demonstrated exactly why he has earned his place in the Red Grade.
If podiums were awarded within this category, Nico would have stood on the podium in all 3 races.
To produce that level of performance on his very first outing as a Red Grade driver is something we are all incredibly proud of. It is another important step in Nico’s development, and he continues to prove that hard work, determination and a willingness to learn are paying off.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who continues to support Nico throughout his racing journey, including his family, sponsors and supporters. We can’t wait for the next meeting on 30th July!
